The red stripes stand for the blood that was shed in order to gain Thailand’s Independence.
The white represents purity and represents Buddhism which is Thailand’s main religion.
The blue represents the country’s national color and the color of its monarchy.
Thailand also uses blue to honor its World War I allies Great Britain, United States, France, and Russia.
All of those countries have red, white, and blue flags.
